Ambrose takes first of year at Twin Cities 7/26

27 Upright Mini Sprints signed in to Twin Cites Raceway Park for another hot and muggy evening. Seth Motsinger, Scott Bradley, and Jeff Barnhart took heat race wins. Returning for the first time since the MMSA Winternationals, Derek Campbell won the B-main.

Lynn Ambrose took full advantage of his pole starting position jumping out to the lead followed by Scott Bradley and Ricky Taylor. Ambrose would pace the first 15 circuits until a lap 15 caution halted the field. During the caution disaster struck for second running Scott Bradley, as he would be forced to retire with a flat right rear tire. On the restart the veteran Ambrose would get the jump leaving Taylor and Ryan Broughton battling for second. Ambrose would later cross the line taking his first Midwest Mini Sprint feature victory. Following Ambrose were Ricky Taylor, Ryan Broughton, Andy Bradley, and Seth Motsinger rounding out the top 5. Dual Hard Charger Awards were issued as Andy Bradley and Austin Archdale both passed an equal amount of cars. Dennis Collins received the top 600cc bonus as well. All drivers that did not start the feature received $100 as a thank you for supporting the Midwest Mini Sprint Association.
