Friday night, April 24, 2009, Thunder Valley Raceway in Salem, IN.

 

It was a perfect night for racing with the temperature in the 70’s and a well prepared track.  Seventeen cars signed in so $600 was paid to the winner and $100 was paid to start.  Collin Ambrose was a “First Time Ever Feature Winner” so he actually collected $700 for the win.  Chuck Tarr got the $50 “Hard Charger Award.” J.D.Parker got the $50 600cc Award. Everyone started the feature.

Chuck Tarr driving the Henry Hall owned Honda powered ERC car won the Hard Charger Award for starting 16th in the feature and finishing 6th.  This was the first time Chuck has driven in several years.

J.D. Parker, driving his son’s 600cc powered car won the 600cc Award for finishing 9th.

We think John Gilbert, at 13 years old, was our youngest driver and Steve Bradley, at 55+, was our oldest driver.
