MMSA members and other 1,000 cc upright mini sprint racers in
the midwest, lets support the "RUMBLE" in Ft. Wayne, The MMSA
affiliation has already led to a race date at the famous
Eldora Speedway, a high car count at the RUMBLE could have a
positive affect on securing more race dates at other major
tracks in the area and continuation of participation in the
Rumble
This event will provide a high degree of exposure to area track
promoters and potential sponsors, something very much needed for
all upright mini sprint racers. I urge you, as racers to take
advantage of this opportunity to advance the future of the
sport, we are on the threshold of major growth, I can't
overstate the importance and influence of the promoters, Larry
Boos and Tony Barhorst may have on future events.
As announced at the MMSA Banquet, the MMSA will have a very busy
schedule for 2012, 25 races or so, Highlighted by the race at
Eldora, Mini Sprint Week, possible revival of Mini Sprint Mania
weekend and return to Brownstown and Twin Cities for several
races, plus some others, Keep in mind the 2012 membership fee is
$75 if paid by December 31, 2011, $85 after that date
I will attempt to have 90% of the schedule out by Dec. 24th.
A very "MERRY CHRISTMAS" wish goes out to everyone,

The MMSA has a tentative date at one of the most famous dirt
tracks in the country,
Sat. August 11, 2012 "ELDORA" Speedway and depending
on the results (satisfaction of track officials) we could return
in late October for a multi division event.
More details in the near future.

The MMSA thanks the 40 people who attended the Banquet on Sunday
afternoon, A special thanks to the trophy sponsors, RPM
Racecraft (Ryan McDonald)
Bradley Excavating (Steve Bradley) and others who donated
all the gifts, Speed Partz, (Larry Fasse ) Hooiser tires,
American Racer tires, Speedway Motors, Dad's muffler &
Mensendiek Auction House for the "T" shirts and fine
hospitality from Nathan & Charlie.
Tony Barhorst was in attendance to promote the 1,000cc mini
sprint portion of the "Rumble in Ft. Wayne" using MMSA rules.
The 2011 season was reviewed and 2012 potential schedule was
highlighted with several major events to be announced.
Rule changes were announced, no. 1 being that Raceceivers will
be mandatory in 2012, no. 2. making the use of Quickchange
rearend optional for 2012 (rule to be reviewed at the end of
2012)
If q/c's are used, the drive shaft must be located in the center
of the chassis, the motor must be inside the chassis and have
operational clutch and starter, meet existing motor and weight
rules.
The race tech will continue to consist of measuring bore &
stroke and weighing, however, if the protest rule is applied the
part protested will be inspected, if determined NOT to be legal
it will be disqualified. The motor rules were made to discourage
the high cost of after mkt. internal parts, alcky conversion
was/is allowed to prolong motor life, not to gain an advantage
in performance.
